Classic homemade treats with a little sparkle

Grandma's recipes. Studio 54 energy.

Electric Sugar Co is a one-woman micro-bakery in the making: family recipes, small batches, and a whole lot of 1970s kitchen energy. We are not open yet — we are getting the kitchen ready.

what this is

A neighborhood bakery, still in the oven

Electric Sugar Co is in pre-launch. Nothing is for sale yet. Kerry is relocating within Massachusetts to a town where a cottage-food kitchen can be permitted, and treats will only be offered once that permit is in hand.

Where we are right now

  • Nothing is for sale on this site yet, and no orders are being taken.
  • Planned service area: Massachusetts. The final town will be confirmed once the kitchen is permitted.
  • When the permit is in hand, the first Neighborhood Specials go out and this page will say so plainly.
our story

Grandma's recipes, Studio 54 energy

Electric Sugar Co is a nostalgic neighborhood micro-bakery inspired by family kitchens, the joy of the 1970s and 80s, and the warmth of public television.

A warm home kitchen with mixing bowls, a wooden spoon, and cooling cookies

It started at a kitchen table

The recipes here are family recipes: the chocolate chip cookie learned on a step stool, the brownies that show up at every gathering, the cereal treats with too much marshmallow. They were never fancy. They were just made with attention, by someone who wanted you to feel taken care of.

Electric Sugar Co takes that feeling and gives it a little sparkle — bold color, a record on in the background, and packaging that looks like it came off a 1978 shelf. Small batch, big nostalgia.

“Homemade is the whole point. If it would not go on my own kitchen table, it does not go in your box.”

Where things stand

Electric Sugar Co is in pre-launch. Nothing is for sale yet. Kerry is relocating within Massachusetts to a town where a cottage-food kitchen can be permitted, and treats will only be offered once that permit is in hand.

That means this site is a window into a business being built, not a shop. Everything in the menu below is the plan for the first menu. When ordering is legal and possible, we will say so here first.

meet the baker

Kerry Williams

Founder and Baker in Chief

Kerry learned to bake beside her mother and never stopped. Friends, neighbors, teachers, and coworkers have been eating her cookies for years, and Electric Sugar Co is the step that turns that into a real, licensed business.

Kerry is a disabled founder. That shapes the business in practical ways: a kitchen and a schedule built around what her body can actually sustain, small batches instead of volume, and honesty about timing instead of promises she cannot keep. Disability is not a side note in this story — it is part of why the work is careful.

“I see you. You matter. You are cared
for.”

Homemade is the whole point. If it would not go on my own kitchen table, it does not go in your box.

why we bake

I see you. You matter. You are cared
for.

Everyone deserves a treat

Not a reward, not a special occasion. A small, ordinary kindness that says somebody thought about you today.

Disability belongs in business

Kerry is a disabled founder building a business that works with her body, not against it. That is not a footnote here — it is part of how the kitchen is designed.

Homemade is the whole point

Real butter, real vanilla, family recipes, small batches. Nothing leaves the kitchen that would not go on Kerry's own table.

the rest of the household

Meet Maury & Mitten

Every family kitchen has an audience. Ours has two, and neither of them is allowed near the counter.

Maury, a friendly dog, sitting in a warm home kitchen

Maury

Chief Crumb Inspector

Maury supervises every bake from exactly one step outside the kitchen, which is the rule. He is convinced each batch needs a second opinion.

Mitten, a cat, curled up on a sunny windowsill

Mitten

Quality Control, Naps Division

Mitten does not care about cookies. Mitten cares about the warm spot near the oven, and she has never once been wrong about it.

the signature idea

Neighborhood Specials

A rotating, hand-packed treat box built around a theme. It is the heart of Electric Sugar Co — and the first thing we will offer once the kitchen is permitted.

1

A theme is chosen

Every drop is built around one idea — a season, a memory, a holiday, a color. The theme decides the whole box.

2

The box is packed by hand

Cookies, a bar or two, something crunchy, and usually one surprise. Wrapped, layered, and labeled so you know what is inside.

3

It goes to a neighbor

A Special is meant to be handed to somebody. Yourself counts. So does the person having a hard week.

The two planned sizes

Neighborhood Specials & Treat Boxes

Neighborhood Special — For Two

A rotating box, sized for a quiet night in

A hand-packed box built around whatever the week's theme is: a few cookies, a couple of bars, a scoop of something crunchy, and usually one surprise. Themes rotate, so the box is never quite the same twice.

Contains: Wheat, Dairy, Eggs, Soy · May contain: Tree nuts, Peanuts, Coconut

Neighborhood Specials & Treat Boxes

Neighborhood Special — The Gathering

The bigger box, built for a table full of people.

Cookies, brownies, bars, cereal treats, and something to grab by the handful, all from the same week's theme. Meant for a book club, a break room, or a porch full of neighbors.

Contains: Wheat, Dairy, Eggs, Soy · May contain: Tree nuts, Peanuts, Coconut

Organizing a market, school fundraiser, or community event in Massachusetts? Kerry would genuinely like to hear about it.
